Jana R. Burk

Jana Burk has recently rejoined the firm as a shareholder/director after eight years as general counsel at Tulsa Public Schools. Prior to becoming general counsel, Jana led Tulsa’s teacher and leader evaluation work for several years and helped train and advise other school districts in the use of its evaluation system. Her primary work area is general school representation. She advises board members and district leaders on school law matters, including but not limited to civil rights matters, employment law, investigations, constitutional issues, policy development, and state/federal regulations. Jana received her law degree in 1997 from the University of Texas at Austin.
