Julie R. Bushyhead

Julie Bushyhead brings seventeen years of courtroom, motion and government practice experience to Rosenstein, Fist & Ringold. She has represented the State of Oklahoma in thousands of cases involving family law and enforcement of financial obligations developing expertise in complex parentage disputes, statutory interpretation, regulatory compliance, administrative procedure and high volume case management. She is known for her ethical judgment, even temperament, respect for all parties, and a steadfast work ethic that reflects her pursuit of mastery and professional excellence.

Her extensive public sector experience translates directly to the firm’s representation of schools and municipalities. Julie’s background in state-wide policy development, legislative drafting, and federal grant oversight informs her counsel on governance, compliance, and regulatory matters. Her training and experience in leadership development provides valuable insight into personnel management and employment issues, while her negotiation record equips her to advise public entities on dispute resolution.

Julie earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Langston University, and is a Certified Public Manager®. She is admitted to practice before the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma.

Julie is an experienced speaker and accomplished writer having presented dozens of continuing legal education and leadership presentations and authored several articles for the Oklahoma Bar Journal and other publications addressing parentage law, probate, and ethics.

Julie is married to her high school sweetheart. They enjoy the rolling hills of their Osage County farm raising pigs, sheep and hay.
